He creates a lyrical palette and a sense of depth and spatial relationships in each painting by subtly layering carefully chosen colors. Robert Rea’s well-trained eye for composition and color relationships inform his own style, reflecting a harmonious and contemporary perspective.
Robert Rea’s work is found in homes across the United States and in other countries, and has been featured in Veranda magazine, as well as House Beautiful, Traditional Home, Southern Home, Southern Living, Washington Spaces, and Home and Design magazines. He is currently represented by galleries in Dallas, TX; Knoxville, TN; Nashville, TN; Houston, TX; and promoted by art consultants nationally and internationally.
Robert Rea received a BA in Art History from Vanderbilt University, as well as other, non-art degrees from the University of Alabama and George Washington University. His auxiliary studies include over seven years of periodic study at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C.
